I'm a Dad, SaaS entrepreneur, startup advisor and outdoorsman. In 2019, my company, LemonStand, was acquired by Mailchimp. Joining them as Head of Commerce, I put into place a product vision, strategy and roadmap for their e-commerce product line and assembled a team to execute on it.Now, I am CEO of Orbit, where my team and I build and acquire apps in the Shopify app ecosystem.I live in Vancouver the South Okanagan with my lovely wife and two beautiful kids. The background photo was taken while hiking through the Andes of Peru, which is the second third most amazing thing I've experienced.

πŸš€ Currently, I’m the CEO of Orbit. We’re doing work in the Shopify apps ecosystem.🐡 I was previously Head of Commerce at Mailchimp after they acquired LemonStand. I put into place a product vision, strategy and roadmap for their e-commerce product line and assembled a team to execute on it.πŸ‹ Previous to that, I was Founder & CEO of LemonStand, an e-commerce platform that raised some venture capital $, then got acquired.***I have a background in front-end web development and design. In a past life I built up a small'ish web agency where we got to work with many small businesses, and some interesting larger customers such as MasterCard and Telltale Games. In 2016 I was awarded the honor of being in the BC Business 30 under 30.Lastly, I do some startup mentoring and selective angel investing.

Here's what I've been up to as of late:- Company Building: I am a life-long learner of leadership, product management, culture, business strategy and everything else that goes into building companies.
- AI: I am very interested in practical applications of AI today, and aspirational uses of AI tomorrow. I believe AI has massive opportunity to be a net positive to humanity, and I intend to participate in that.
- The Great Outdoors: A life lived outdoors is a life well lived. I greatly enjoy getting into the mountains or being in/near the water with a fly rod in hand. I might be in sandals, hiking boots, wading boots, or on a mountain bike.

I admit it. I don't write enough. But, forget being a "thought leader" or "personal branding".The biggest benefit is that it's a terrific way to crystalize learning and clarify your thoughts. Here's some things I've written in the past:- How to survive the entrepreneurial rollercoaster - The Next Web
